Gettysburg 150th Commemoration
I worked with producer Elle Kamihira for Donna Lawrence Productions on a three-screen visual package for the opening ceremony of the 150th Commemoration of the Battle at Gettysburg. Three LED screens were the backdrop of the ceremony, which included a 30 minute program wherein actors read from letters, diaries, and commentaries from soldiers and generals. Images across the three screens served to contextualize the readings, which clarified the importance of the Battle at Gettysburg in the Civil War.
Following a script that included over 100 cues for the live performance, I designed and edited the visuals, culling from thousands of archival images. Pictured is a small sampling of the over 300 images and video clips that were programmed and projected on site.
